Wind Waker Bomb Flower Ornament

So, having ball ornaments on my tree wasn't enough. Adding some flower ornaments on my tree still wasn't enough. So I made a bomb flower. Best worst idea ever! Really, now if I bump it the entire thing will explode AND I HAVE CATS that like to climb it >.>

No, in all seriousness this ornament is awesome. I am so happy with how it came out. I though about making it glittery on the inside like the others but I decide to just use paint. If you want to paint the inside of the ornament go check out my tutorial. You want to do Steps 1-4 exactly the same. When you get to Step 5 you skip to 5.9 and just add paint and then shake like there is no tomorrow. After the entire inside is clean you can drain out some of the excess paint. I then let it sit in the drying box to drain the extra-extra paint and to let the paint that stuck dry. It took a few days to dry fully.

I also painted the cap and hook. I couldn't really make them exactly the same as the stem in on the bomb flowers in Wind Waker but I thought this was a nice representation. The flower and leaves are made of felt. I though about making the bottom leaves stiff so they would stay in the correct shape all the time. I decided to give them the middle ridge only. I figure it would be impossible to store otherwise. This way I can just wrap the leaves around it when I store it.
