This is my new-ish Weepingbell hat.

This hat is sooo awesome. I love this hat. I really, really do.
It is just so much fun to wear.

So, this got made because a friend of mine needed a grass type pokemon from generation 1 that wasn't bulbasaur. None of the other grass types really caught my attention so I made this for him.

He asked for derpy eyes and got googly ones instead, which btw, look amazing.

The stem and torus around the stem are stuffed and actually create a type of "handle" for people to pull the hat off of their head with.

The leaves at attached at the sides in a semi circle so that they can still move around naturally when you walk and are not stuck in place. Also this allows them to not be stuck at the sides of the hat but sticking out some, just like Weepingbell.

The googly eyes are glued on with special plastic-to-fabric glue that will never come off. I has someone buy one at Sakura-con after I showed them that I couldn't pull the eye off no matter how hard I tried. This glue is awesome. It also does not create a hard spot where it is glued on because it is made for fabric.

The googly eyes have the added bonus of making Weepingbell's eyes stick out just a bit, which if you look a the pictures, Weepingbell eyes do just that. (This was a main reason I went with the googly eyes, besides the awesome that is.)
