Brown Owl Hat by cutekick Brown Owl Hat by cutekick
*** Etsy *** Tumblr *** FAQ ***

**Hats do not cover eyes. The model head is made smaller than the average human head. This causes the hat to cover the eyes and parts of the face that it will not on a person.**

Introducing my brand new Owl Hat! I had been working on this guy since March but I didn't get to finish him until recently and then I had the photos taken but it had slipped my mind on posting him. Then I was chatting with a friend last night who is a teacher and he mentioned that graduation was this weekend. I was like "Oh! I should really post my owl hat!" So, here it is.

I made this one with a folded design to give it a shape similar to a horned owl and a stylized face to make it easy to recognize. I wanted to make this hat more simple and stylized rather than fully realistic. If I tried to make it crazy feather tufts and a stuffed beak I felt it would be too gaudy.

I am planning to make more colors after I move. Any colors you want to see?

Just came in the mail~ It.. is really tight. xD But it fits mostly, at least. So yay. I love it. <3 Though.. if I ever do get any more hats I'll wait on a bigger size.

That is unfortunate. I can say that since it still fits on your head the hat should stretch out with enough wear. Just keep wearing (and maybe have someone with a larger head wear it too).

Yeah, haha oh well though. And I guess so, I don't think it'll ever be anything short of tight, but we'll see. Not the end of the world like that anyways~ and haha, I have the biggest head around sadly.

Large round tupperware containers will also work.

Ooh! Thanks for that suggestion, might try that.. Haha, the idea of just forcibly stretching it out kinda kills me inside, but that might be good. :o

I can understand that but it is probably better than it being so tight you never want to wear it. I have also found that stretching while it is damp (not soaking wet) will help it keep the applied stretch at a much quicker rate. They best way to apply such a dampness is either with a spray bottle or padding with a wet sponge. If you do decide to try damping it I would only wet the back and not the face. This will allow the back to get to stretch so it fits better without distorting the facial details at all.

Haha, it's not wayy too tight anyways, just, well enough so to mess up my hair in a really major way as it's pressed against head a ton. xD But it's not like it's cutting off circulation or anything~ And ooh! Thanks for that. :o I'll keep that all in mind. You've been tons of help anyways. <3 really do love the hat.

Yes! Got it. <3 Absolutely love this hat, it's so adorable! Possibly a bit of a tight fit, but not too bad, can't wait to have it, andendupdrawingmortifyingcripplingattentionwithitanddying.

Aw thank you!!! I am glad you liked it so much to purchase it. Well, I don't think it would draw much more attention than a standard cat hat. I did go for a less gaudy design. Also, this is the only owl hat I have made at this point so for the time being you can brag that you have a one of a kind hat ^_^

Welcome! And absolutely, it's so nice. c: And haha, well.. considering I live in Oregon, and I've never seen a single person with any animal hats at all, or anything other then baseball caps. Either way, I'll love it lots and lots. But yeah, I like how it came out anyways, love the little tufts, and the eyes. And oh yeah! I noticed that, haha that's part of why I was so desperate to get it before someone else decided they liked it too. xD And awesome. <3 My unique awesome owl hat. It'll go pre nice with owl phone case too.
